We can say we were there!

LIC Beer Project’s first upstate can release at Mohawk Taproom in Scotia!

Derek was there early to get his line ticket and had a table already for when I showed up a bit later for lunch. I squeezed through the crowd to the table he shared with his friends, Sean and Scott. Derek was excited about the beer he had in his hand. “This is Hill Farmstead Abner! Taste this!”  he exclaimed, “I have been waiting 2 years to try this beer!” I sipped his glass as I took of my coat and sat down, it was delicious! I ordered the Beyond Veggie Burger with edamame slaw. I want to be very clear, I’m not a vegetarian, but I loved this burger!

Mohawk Taproom was loud and crowded for the can release but, as a true testament of a well-run bar, we still got our individual service with smiles and damn fine beers.

The call out soon came for the line to start forming for the can sales. I stayed inside warm and toasty with a margarita while the guys went out to stand in line for Electric Lady Pale Ale, Both Sides of the Rainbow DIPA and Late Night Sun DIPA and some T-shirts!
